    Description

Purchased at a LA Estate Sale, Boy Scout items from 1942, Troop #12, Santa Barbara CA.
Included are a photo of the Boys camping, a note regarding the President's (FDR) Rubber Drive, and his sash.
The young boy is Ken Bonilla.
In the picture some of the boys are wearing their uniforms.  Not sure what symbol is on the flag and believe Ken is the one with a knife being held to his throat.
Date on the back with the names of the boys.
The note is from Ken and his friend Richard working on the President's Scrap Rubber drive during WWII.
In 1942 they were Second Class Scouts of Troop 12.  Ken graduated from High School in 1947.
Written in pencil, the date has been added in ink on the top.  This is how I found it.
After graduating from High School Ken graduated from Medical School in 1955, served in the US Army and was an 8th Generation Californian.
Finally is his sash with his awards, pins and badges.
Merit Badges are type E on green fabric with narrow border.
The 7 included are Path Finding, Swimining, Mechanical Drawing, Metal Work, Printing, Gardening and Chemistry.
3 Service Bars, Walter Head Acorn Award, Rank pins, and black fabric bar.
The last one is the arrowhead patch on the top, not sure what it is for.  Looks to be leather, has and arrow and the initials O.B.A.
The 3 pieces are in very good condition, see pictures.
Selling as a whole, not going to break up the set.
Great gift or addition to your collection.
