This is a stained glass kaleidoscope made by award-winning scope maker, Nedra Reed.
This scope is a kevel spinner kaleidoscope that spins on a horizontal plane. The sculptured wheel on the end creates the images within the scope, when the wheel is turned horizontally.   The scope is about 6.5 long and the sides are about an inch high. There is a magnifier in the eye piece to create a great images!!
The scope has an "pond critters, creatures" theme. It is made from a light purple and white swirly glass. On one side is brass wire and a fused glass turtle.  On the other is brass wire and a brass frog.     All the fused glass was made by this artist in her kiln and then incorporated into this one-of-a-kind scope. The wheel on the end has a copper enamel frog, a stone carved turtle and a pewter lizard.,  The last pictures are actual views through the scope.  Can you find the pond creatures  in the pictures? The pictures don't capture the beauty through the scope because the flash distorts. See my customer comments.
