Wonderfully carved large goat candleholder The first photos are of the candlestick dry . Because the Carver wanted to get the best use out of this jade and hide it imperfection. The pitting you see is done on purpose. However if you want the good luck of a Jade item in you're home this charming goat should do the job.This fellow was bought in China in the late 1970s or early 80s The woman who bought them was told it was Jade , which was true but the age they stated was faults. The pitting was not done overtime but on purpose. Still with all is perfection. I think the the carver did a great job I don't think the broken of part of the base was ever broken. I think it was created that way to make it look old . It was a large and heavy piece of jade and I think this is it natural color. It weighs 2 1/2 pounds it is 6 inches tall by 4 inches wide and 3 inches thick. Even the lowest grade of Jade is expensive. The average price costs is around 0-,000 USD per pound so the price I'm pricing it out is a lot cheaper than what it would cost for the jade rock.
